Where will it snow in Ireland this weekend as tempatures plummet to -2°C

Forecasters stated that snow could fall in Ireland this weekend as temperatures get set to fall as low as -2C.

Conditions will take a turn for the worst from Sunday onwards, as a cold front of weather moves in, bringing widespread showers and possible snowfall.

A forecast map by Met Eireann shows that the wintery and snowy showers are predicted to fall over the north and west of the country.

The south and east will stay cold, but will likely only see rain.

Some further snow is expected on Tuesday night, but most of that will only be seen on higher ground.
